In Cairo, Egypt, we commissioned a vertical hardening machine capable of hardening gears up to 1.5 metres in diameter and shafts up to 400 mm in diameter and up to 3 metres long.
The customer — a company manufacturing and repairing rolls for hot sheet rolling — had specific requirements for the types of hardened products, so the machine was designed for maximum versatility.
The hardening machine is equipped with servo drives for precise feed and rotation of the workpiece.
All of this is "powered" by a 250 kW SFR250 medium-frequency induction heater.
